Hi,
I’ve been going through my music and I’ve noticed some odd matching and I’m wondering what is up. I’ve read the naming guide and it suggested that I do not need to worry about naming convention as it will use the MP3 tags, However for some reason its still getting wrong. Looking at Mp3 tag the file looks ok but its not picked correctly with plex:
Does it not use the mp3 tags? Should I rename all the files? My plex is Version 1.4.4.3495
Thanks
‘Albumartist’ must be set.
This, and ‘Album(title)’ must be uniform in all tracks of an album.
Check and complement the tags, then perform the Plex Dance (with music, step 4 can be omitted)
Is this a Premium or a regular library?
If the former, is the checkbox ‘use embedded tags’ in the properties of the library checked?
is ‘Local Media Assets’ under Settings - Server - Agents - Albums - last.fm/Premium Music
in top position or lower?

I think its regular but I’m not sure how to tell?

Yes

Its in the top
I’ll write that data and do the plex dance but its odd its only 3 of the tracks on the album that have this problem

Best to ensure that all other metadata are uniform across all tracks on that album.
Then Plex Dance all tracks of that album together

They all did have the same tags - just plex read 3 of the files wrong. Anyway after the dance they were matched correctly
