Can you tell me what "encoding" was used for your second/Not Working file. It doesn't fit utf-8, that's all I can tell. :-)

It's Greek language. Maybe you dont have the greek language installed and you cant see the Greek ANSI.

Baa the problem isnt in Greek language only. I think every srt as i read in thread that is encoding with ANSI will have the same problem. Now i dont know how pms recognize the Ansi subtitles and display them fine the.

Yeah, that is strange. I double-checked with Plex/Web and it also shows them as Greek. Hm, let's say in Greek letters - I honestly can't say if the writing makes sense otherwise.
I tell you what... I guess, I can let it push the ANSI characters as they are. We have to check if aTV will display them in Greek as well. Not really sure, we might also see some little pictograms. :-D
It should have problem also with other languages with ANSI encode that have special characters like Russian, spanish,..
If you can pass as it is the characters i can try it for you to let you know the resut
If the Ansi characters doesnt work in the end with atv, I dont know if it is possible plexconnect to convert the srt to utf8 so to be readable ? http://code.google.com/p/ansi-file-to-utf8/

The Greek subtitle file encoding is windows-1253.
Grey we dicuss the srt encoding. If you open an srt with notepad you can save it as utf8,ansi,unicode,....
If a subtitle is in Ansi encoding (any language) then plexconnect doesnt display it (with the subrender), if the srt is in utf8 encoding then it will display it.
