I am having the same issue but as far as I can tell, it only happens at the end of every episode of season 6 of TWD. It plays on every device I have plex on including VLC but stops at the end.
Are you using https://app.plex.tv/desktop ? There was a fix for near end of file that was released recently in version 3.37.2 as mentioned in my earlier posts

every time i want to play some movie it goes to the shaka1001 error and this wasn’t happening since the last update PMS
could you please explain your setup and how you are accessing your Plex Cloud server ?
Your screenshot shows you are accessing localhost Plex Web but you do not have a local plex media server - so how is this getting to your Plex Cloud server that you provided logs from ?
It would have been good for you to have said that this server is owned by a different account and that you were using that account to access the cpms via the local laptop PMS LAPTOP-1HP10CPL owned by that other account and which is running Plex Media Server version 1.11.3.4803-c40bba82e
Please try the following
Access your Cloud Server through https://app.plex.tv/desktop or
upgrade your local PMS on the laptop to 1.12.0.4829 which has the later version of Plex Web and access through the bundled plex web app as you have done
if problem persists provide new screenshot and logs
I’ve been a Plex user for a number of years, never seen this error until now.
I’m using the Docker image plexinc/pms-docker:latest on Ubuntu, and a freshly ripped CD has some tracks that play OK and others that give the shaka1001 error.
I notice that when playing through the Chrome browser on my host machine with the Chrome tools network tab open all of the tracks that fail get a 400 (Bad Request) status back from my server.
I can manipulate a bad url to make it work by altering the ‘metadata’ parameter in it, in this particular case %2F6 gives 400 status, %2F14 works OK and returns a bunch of XML.
The screen snippet shows Chrome Tools displaying the error, the original result of following the bad URL, and the result after tweaking it.
I have no idea if this is of any use to you.
Happy to give more details if you think it might help.

Would need server logs with debug logging enabled. Changing metadata item from 6 to 14 simply switches the request to a different media file
Settings / server / general / show advanced
Ensure debug logging enabled
Save changes
Restart server to get fresh logs created
Repeat the above test and note down the time of the error and download the logs zip and attach with info on when the error arose

Just setup iptv and have loaded my play list but all channels and movies give the shaka1001 error
would need the logs for the iptv bundle as wetll
Please restart the server
Repeat the test
and in addition to the logs zip, also copy out the log files for iptv within C:\Users\chris\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Logs\PMS Plugin Logs
Requests to the iptv bundle getting a 500 response

It would be better for you to refer the issue to the iptv bundle developers and if a Plex Media Server issue is then suspected then they can advise what to do or raise a topic here for it

Plex, please be big boys and include a “Submit Error Log to Plex” button in your Try:Catches. Its super embarrassing that your devs don’t know how to auto submit critical errors for your review.
Thanks
Shaka 1001 playback error on Channel Pear streaming channel plugins on Mac
OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
Plex Media Server Version 1.12.3.4973
Hello
First, please allow me to express my pleasure in using your impressive software! Sincere kudos to all of you who worked on Plex!!
Now to my Shaka 1001 problem:
I was using Channel Pear in conjunction with Roku m3u red playlist, when trying to get the Pear url to work in m3u black playlist. I pressed reset url to get a shorter url in the hopes of getting to work in 'black". I then followed the instructions for “black”, including deleting the channel pear cache folder and rebooting. I can’t get the streams to work on roku, and I can’t ge them to work on the Mac Plex Media Server [shaka 1001]. I can play them on my channel pear phone through the web player. The url is the same on my iphone channel pear & roku. I also deleted and reinstalled the channelpear.bundle.
Here attached is my media server logs, hope you can help.

Many thanx in advance guys!
similar to my response for the iptv plugin, this needs to be referred to the channelpear developer and if there is a Plex Media Server issue then they can raise that with technical details as to what the issue is.
You would need to also get the channelpear.bundle logs which as for all add-on plugins are not included in the standard download logs for Plex Media Server
Your plex software with iptvsubs.bundle works like ■■■■. The bundle loads in the tv channels but to get them to play on your ■■■■■■ software without the shaka1001 error is near impossible. Very disappointed in plex. Wasted my 1 day free trial for their service trying to figure out your stupid software. Not going with Plex nor paying them ■■■■ for this.
I started randomly having this problem for the first time after several years of having a plex server. Mine would pop up at the beginning when trying to play movies. It wasn’t doing this to all of them, just random ones.
I was able to bypass this by renaming the movie’s filename and re-scanning the folder in Plex.
This seemed to work for me, hopefully it’ll help others
