Player won't add media, makes no sense

Server will not detect these files. I’ve tried converting and i’ve messed around with it for as long as i care to, matched the default plex optimize function as well as i could but still haven’t figured out the issue. It did pick up 2 episodes of 24.

Episode 11 works and was picked up, episode 10 does not, I don’t see any noticeable differences, any advice you have would be appreciated. Both play just fine.

Please show the folder structure you have and which of these folders has been added to the Plex library.

F:\Media\sonarr\FreezingTest\Freezing - S01E11 - Ambush! Ravensborne Nucleochede

Is the one that got picked up. This is after making multiple copies, conversions and other nonsense to try to make it work.

The rest of season 1 is in that same folder.

F:\Media\sonarr\Freezing\Season 1\EPISODES is where sonarr placed them, and none of those got picked up, but the same file structure works for many other series.

  1. you should never download directly into a folder which has been added to a plex library
  2. With the above folder structure, you need to edit your library, go to the “Add Folders” tab and verify that only the folder F:\Media\sonarr has been added. Not one folder level above, nor below that.

It’s already set that way, and that’s the result of the problem, and i didn’t download straight there, i mean i did once it didn’t work, but sonarr pulled it from NZB and placed it in the original directory, plex never saw it, so i converted it to a few different media codecs and types and even tried that separate directory, which finally got it to pick up episode 11 and 12, but it still won’t recognize anything else, even though they’ll play fine in any external media player i’ve tried.

Please use 2-digit season numbers (except where the season has 4 digits, ofc)

Close the ticket, I figured out what the problem was. It was considering the entire Freezing series as a part of Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works for some reason. The titles weren’t clashing but when i went to plex and looked over some of the files and saw it had four “copies” of the same media i started looking at the paths and it was counting them as all parts of that series.

I did the plex dance on FSN:UBW and then matched the mis-categorized series to the correct title and brought back in the other series and all was fine.
