Add me to the list. Shocked I have to pay for such shoddy software - the amount of times that the TV feature has broken in the few months I’ve had a Plex Pass through no fault of my own is appalling.
Yeah! Before update, the mobile devices started not working saying I need to update. Hated that very much!! Then I updated and now nothing works! You really can not imagine how furious this makes me right now.
What now? How to fix it?

So I solved it by killing all Plex Processes (manually). Then restarting plex “service plexmediaserver start” and after start, deleting DVR entry and set it up again. Now I hope recordings work. But really, please test your software releases. By the way: DO NOT DEACTIVATE features by saying I need to update!
But i can’t continue when selecting the guide. I have the option to either select the country or point to the location of a XML file. But whatever i try the continue button is greyed out.
These issues are very annoying. Nobody from plex seems to be bothered enough to respond to the many threads about this issue.
Is Plex even aware? are they working on a fix? At least acknowledgement and ETA for a fix, even if it would take some time because it turns out to be a complicated issue would be helpful
Shield user here, and this worked for me too. You can force quit the PMS app on the Shield, open it back up, then if you immediately log in to the web interface to manage the shield, you can delete the DVR and recreate it.
Isn’t that typical of the Plex team. We broke all your stuff, and when people told us, we pushed it to stable.
So I rolled back, and I can’t load any TV guides, which means TV didn’t work. I removed my tuner, upgraded and attempted to re-add it, only to be unable to add a new tuner because the wizard won’t let me select a location for the guide. The feature is now completely broken.
The complete disregard with which Plex treats its paying customers is breathtaking. That’s me done recommending Plex to people.
