v1.0
Hello, dashy world!
(Releasing in Google Play and Apple stores)
Weâre back! Most importantly, this release fixes the issue with ???
server names and being, well, completely broken, but it also incorporates fixes and improvements from the last year+ of Plexamp development (common codebase).
Itâs been a hot minute since you last heard from us here. Iâm super happy to announce the availability of Plex Dash 2.0, introducing a boatload of new features as well as a healthy selection of fixes and refinements.
Note: available now on Android and soon on iOS. iPhone users, stay tuned!
Update: out now on both Android and iOS.
Letâs dive in!
In Plex Dash 2.0âs settings tab, you can now view a wide range of server details, including IP address, creation date, library count and more.
From this screen, you can now see available server updates. Clicking the update indicator in-app will show you a changelog, and pulling down to refresh will re-check for available updates.
You can long-press the settings tab to open the server details page directly.
Want to know why your server sounds like itâs spooling its engines for an overweight departure from a short runway? The newly redesigned Activities screen consolidates the CPU, Memory, and Bandwidth graphs and introduces the ability to monitor ongoing activities like Sonic Analysis, metadata refreshes, thumbnail generation and much more.
In the new Server Details view, you can now change your serverâs settings.
Clearing trash, refreshing metadata, and analyzing library files is now possible, accessed from the libraries tab.
Download logs while youâre on the go and share directly from the app using the system share sheet.
Plex Dash is now translated into Czech, German, French, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Chinese, Finnish, and Korean. Many thanks to our community of translators for their hard work and contributions.
Large swathes of Plex Dash have benefitted from almost two years of improvements made in Plexamp. In particular, navigation between pages is much smoother, carousels (such as the poster picker, or charts screens) are snappier and less prone to getting stuck, and the application launch time should be improved.
Plex Dash on iOS now requires iOS 13 or later. Android device compatibility is unchanged.
Hot on the heels of our big Dash v2.0 release, weâve accumulated a few fixes and some welcomed improvements for v2.0.1. You can now upload custom artwork for your media, see a little bit more information on the details pages, and we even managed to squash a bunch of bugs while we were at it. Rest in peace, bugs
Bring that holiday cheer!
Happy new year!
Enjoy these latest improvements to Dash, bringing some polish and sparkle to get 2024 started on the right foot.
Ready to dive into a new Plex Dash release? This release brings the significant dependency upgrades from the recent v4.10 Plexamp release over to Plex Dash. Rather than copy-pasting the nitty gritties here, allow me to share the link below for those who want a little more context:
In addition to the above, weâve put together some nice new features and a healthy selection of fixes for your server management convenience.
A quick follow-up to v2.1 with some bugs squashed
