(Settings says version 4.22.2, but I don’t know if that means one of the above. Sorry.)
This is an odd problem. I’ve a movie folder with some movies on - a mix of .mp4 and .mkv. All follow the same naming structure - moviename.mp4, for example. I’ve just added another movie (newmoviename.mp4) but even after a library scan, Plex doesn’t see it.
@JuiceWSA, that’s the way it’s set up. It’s all in a partition called media , which has a long alphanumeric number to identify it. So, the address is
/mnt/ab12cd34…etc/films and then within films, moviename.mp4, for example
@dane22, I made certain the permissions were the same as for the other films (they play). Even after changing them to match, Plex still doesn’t see it
Do the Plex Dance (And make sure you do ALL the steps), and after that, upload a zip wirh the logs, as well as name the movie so we know what to look for
Solved. My stupidity. Plex was looking at a similar (but old) folder. New film is in new (current) folder. It works now.
Duh!
Thanks for the help
Oops, spoke too soon. Still not seeing it, but I think this is the reason. I’ll check again. (I wish Linux would show partitions by name and not by alphanumeric strings - it used to.)
