I was having similar issues on Versions:
Server: 1.24.3.5033-757abe6b4
Client (Plex for Windows): 1.34.1.2590-74ea7099
For me the experience used to be acceptable (still far from fast and snappy) but after the recent “big” UI overhaul Plex for Windows was extremely slow.
As example it took too much time when selecting a library or the home page until the actual UI got updated to show that the new element had been selected.
I’ve just fixed theese issues by manually installing the windows test build that reenables GPU aceleration.
