Plex has stopped recognizing any media files.
This happened suddenly about one month ago. I can’t fix it and have cancelled my account. would like to continue. I have downloaded the logs. What can I/you do?
you could start with some more details…
e.g. what kind of media are we talking about (movies, tv shows, both), how you’ve named / structured those files, what OS are you running your server on…?
Movies and films are not working. The naming has not changed. I don’t believe this is the issue. Plex recognized everything fine until about a month ago(as I said), and now a rescan in a new film library comes up with nothing when Plex recognized over 800 before. Mac IOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. I’ve trawled through these forums and have found nothing.
Not saying it is the issue… just trying to rule it out as there’s a lot of weird naming out there and occasionally it’s so far off, Plex eventually runs into some trouble.
Could you share an example along with the logs from close after you attempted that scan with your new library?
Considering those files are already in a different library I suppose it’s not a permission thing.
I don’t want to sound stupid but how do I send you the logs?

My Mac kept decompressing them…
ok… your Plex server seems to have some kind of database issue.
It’s properly scanning your media but fails to write to the database.
You could try checking if the database itself has been corrupted and if you can fix it. Make sure to follow the linked support article:

I followed the tutorial, I think. Downloaded another server too, but to no avail; neither will now start up. 
does it start with a version of the database backed up before attempting to repair?
worst case, your database is gone south for good in which case you might end up starting from scratch
Plex just won’t start now. nada! Restarted the computer too…
ok now. I deleted the Plex Media Server data directory. Thanks! It can see everything now.
