Plex keeps losing remote access

Yep, this describes me too. I’ve literally just built a new server on new hardware and I was looking forward to stress-testing it, however me and my family can’t even access it apart from on localhost.

I’ve sent a DM to Elan (CTO) in the hope he sees it asking about this. I understood the fruore surrounding the interface changes a while ago, but also understood that sometimes design decisions are made and they’re wrong. Elan was man enough to own up and accept that. However in this instance, this is Billy basic functionality of the service. It’s literally the entire point of Plex. And it’s not working.

For this to have been going on for as long as it has without any kind of comment is, in my opinion, totally unacceptable and more evidence of what I said the main issue was earlier - incredibly poor communications between the company and the customer.

Any luck on this? All of a sudden, after a reboot of my Plex server, it stopped working. Shows green then turns red after 5 seconds. Very annoying.

Mine worked fine but got broken after the update to 1.15.5.994

I am running PMS on an Ubuntu machine, never had any problems until this version.

1.15.5.994 broke “Remote Access” and “Direct Connection” inside my LAN.
Reverted back to *993 and everything is back to normal.

following. now every morning i have to teamview into the server and click the button which is fine except when traveling but still a royal pain.

Upgraded to PMS 1.15.6.1079 and still having the same problem.

Now running PMS 1 .15.8.1163 and remote access is still not working.

Installed PMS 1.15.8.1198 but remote access still isn’t working.

Same for PMS 1.16.0.1220.

No change for PMS 1.16.0.1226

No change Same Version 1.16.0.1226
