Okay, I have spent all afternoon reading the various threads on the subject and trying everything I could, but no results. For some reason, PMS just decided to quit matching files. It has successfully matched 1000s of files, but now, nothing. I’m running PMS on a Windows 10 PC. I have tried messing with settings in Avast (all networks are set to private). I have done the Plex Dance. I have checked the agents. There is no problem with my naming scheme. Nothing has helped.
Please keep in mind, I am no better than average and maybe somewhat worse when it comes to computers, so please explain to me as simply as you can. I’m not qualified to monkey around with ports and directories, but perhaps you can walk me through it. I have uploaded a screenshot that I hope will help you see the problem.
One note: I don’t know if this could be a contributing factor, but just before the problem began, I had a power outage that resulted in the PC with PMS open losing power without being properly shut down.
I have same problem, and when I go into settings ->agents and try to reorder the agents under any category, order reverts back to how it was before my changes.
I even cleared the cache but even after it rebuilt, still nothing. My guess is that Plex is not properly connecting to IMDB or the other databases it typically connects to for the posters and metadata.
I actually ended up figuring out the answer after much poking around. I turned off the automatic and manual proxy servers on my PC, and that fixed the problem right away. I hope it works for you too!
I just now was able to download metadata and covers without doing anything different on my server or network. Guess whatever glitch was occurring is now fixed. ??? Let’s hope, at least.
