Plex Media Server - Synology DSM 7 Preview - Issues ( Archive )

PlexMediaServer 1.21.1.3870 is now available.

The download links in the Preview thread have been updated.

In this stage of forum preview, I am introducing:

1. Multi-language support for English, French, German, and Spansh.
2. Ability to (re)claim the server using a PlexClaimToken (like Docker does)

Multi-language support

1. The Plex Package Center panels as well as the interactive text messages displayed now track the DSM language ( Settings - Control Panel - Regional Options - Language)

2. If your language is not currently supported, it will display in English.

3. Additional languages are planned. This is the initial step

Install using Claim Token

You may now obtain a Plex Claim Token (directly in the install screen) which you then copy & paste into the installer window.

The Installer uses this token to associate it with your account during installation AFTER migration has successfully completed.

Be advised:

1. The Claim Token process will force the “Got It” new server window.
2. Do NOT panic.
3. Any previous account information is removed. All other server data (Libraries and Metadata) is carried forward.
4. I have configured the Claim Token process to require confirmation of all information as it associates.

I will gladly adjust this behavior if desired.

32 bit Intel support

I have been able to bring the 32 bit (x86 and evansport architectures) back into the package.

Performance of 32 bit X86 on DSM 7 has not been measured. Patience with it is strongly urged.
