Hi, when trying to use Plex it keeps on saying that my Plex Media Server must be added. But I already did! Tried it several times, deïnstalate it and installed it again. Deleted my accounts, add a new one, same result. Windows 10 latest media player en server. Anybody knows what to do?
In order to complete the setup you need to open your Plex Media Server through its local IP.
If you’re on the same Mac… open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. If you’re on a different machine inside your home network, use http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web instead. This will bring up a wizard/dialog where you can name your server and link it to your Plex account (as well as creating your first libraries).
Once you “claimed” your server (=linked it to your Plex Media Account), you’ll also be able to access it from other Plex apps or via http://app.plex.tv/desktop.

The same goes for scenarios where you had already setup the server but never linked it to your account.
You mention MAC. As in a Macintosh? I have a Windows machine
Then try visiting http://127.0.0.1:32400/identity
You should get a page with bare XML with something like: <MediaContainer size="0" claimed="1" machineIdentifier="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" version="1.30.1.6562-915986d62"> </MediaContainer>
So the server is reporting as Claimed, but is acting as if it is not claimed. See method 2 of You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry
when running the program I see this:

Can you provide your server logs ?
That appears to be an install log, Can you zip the contents of %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Logs and post that?
Deleted the zip file here
Thanks, unfortunately verbose logging was enabled, which floods the logs with unneeded information making it impossible for me to use them. See the linked instructions above and try method 2.2
yessss… Started the program again, and yesss Thanks very much for the help!
Can you explain what worked for you for anyone else coming across this thread?
Method 2.2
