Having an issue with the TV show ‘Total Drama’. As seen on TheTVDb.com here. This particular TV show has undergone a change as of late 2015. The show used to list each season as separate shows, because the name of each season had variations, e.g., Total Drama:[Name of Show Here]. When scanning for a match using TheTVDb meta agent all that can be seen are the individual shows. As seen here
.
I’ve contacted people at TheTVDb and they say that it must be a Plex issue, as the website is correct. Contacted the person who made the changes at TheTVDb and the reply was this, “I am unfamiliar with Plex. I performed a search on tvdb.com and Total Drama comes back with 5 seasons as it should, so as far as I can guess it is a Plex issue.” Would anyone be able to help with this?

Adapt your folder organisation to the new ‘merged’ series. Heed the Plex rules for tv shows strictly.
If your files are mp4 files, remove or correct their embedded meta data which might be still indicating the old show titles (or as seen very frequently, utter nonsense).
Alternatively, do this 1) https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1374433/#Comment_1374433
I am not familiar with this tv show, so you must figure out for yourself which season is which ‘old’ show.
Clear the http cache for the TheTVDB agent.
Plex Dance the whole show.
I just got an instant, fully populated match with:
A TV Show Library
…Total Drama
…Season 01
…Total Drama - S01E01.mp4
Which correctly shows as it’s listed as ‘Not So Happy Campers (1)’.
No matter what you’re used to or what you may even know to be correct you need to match what’s in the database at TVDB. Find your stuff and match it to what’s on TVDB. There’s little else you can do.
Just an FYI the issue seemed to have resolved itself. After trying the above I kind of gave up. After this latest patch, I decided to give it another go, and this time the search found Total Drama.
