Plex Movie agent not including results from TMDB

Server Version#: Version 1.18.5.2260
Player Version#: Version 3.104.2

Agent order is set like so
Plex Movie is set like so

However I have daily non-matches like the following:
/movies/Modo Avião (2020)/Modo Avião (2020) WEBDL-1080p.mkv

No match with Plex Movie, however when selecting TMDB under match options I get a correct match “Airplane Mode - tt5617916” btw don’t watch that movie.

I have ~70 movies in my catalogue which all need manual TMDB matching. A few more examples:

/movies/Most Likely to Succeed (2019)/Most Likely to Succeed (2019) WEBDL-1080p.mkv
/movies/Cyber Bride (2019)/Cyber Bride (2019) WEBDL-1080p.mkv

I’ve done “the plex dance” and checked naming. Expected behaviour would be that Plex Movie automatically searches TMDB for matches as well as its other sources.

It looks like an upstream problem with TMDB.

As a test, I simultaneously created the 2019 and 2015 versions.

The 2015 version loaded . The 2019 did not.

This problem seems to have been present for the last 2-3 weeks. I hope it’ll get sorted out soon.
Thanks for checking

Try removing “WEBDL-1080p” from the file names.

Both match correctly for me without “WEBDL-1080p” in the file name:
/movies/Most Likely to Succeed (2019)/Most Likely to Succeed (2019).mkv
/movies/Cyber Bride (2019)/Cyber Bride (2019).mkv

I renamed Modo Avião to Airplane Mode and it matched correctly.
/movies/Airplane Mode (2020)/Airplane Mode (2020).mkv

In the Also Known As section in the imdb.com listing, the worldwide movie title is Airplane Mode.

When querying https://meta.plex.tv/m/10731748, the movie title is listed as Airplane Mode, not Modo Avião.

<movie title="Airplane Mode" country="Brazil" originally_available_at="2020-01-23" tagline="">

Note: No difference if Plot Summary Source = IMDB or TMDB.

Modalità Aereo (2019) <<<<< not 2020

Interesting. It must be a regional issue.

I have the names perfect (which I put in my QA movie library). still not getting a match.
I will investigate

Ok, removing the quality info from the filenames (this could take a while), I never liked it there much anyway.

The movie source title is coming from Radarr which can see: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/652483-modo-aviao

If it makes any difference I have “any” set as my language profile in radarr which may account for the title being in Portuguese.

Try it for one or two and see if it makes a difference.

If there is any extraneous info you want to keep in the folder or file name, put it in square brackets and Plex will ignore it. Ex: movie_name (year) [stuff_to_ignore].ext

If you need to rename many files, look at filebot, https://www.filebot.net/. Many people use it to quickly rename multiple files.

Regarding Radarr, I customized it to be standard.

Indeed I’ve just done the same to Radarrs profile.

The catalogue is what some might call large, so it’s going to take a few more hours for Radarr to finish renaming. I’ll post back once plex recovers from the renamed files :face_with_thermometer:

Renamed files as above, did “plex dance” again (god I hate that name). Rescanned and rebuilt library. I’m missing metadata for 308 out of ~7500 movies now which is more than before. I’m rescanning metadata for those 308 items again to give it another chance.

The three previously mentioned movies are still all missing metadata:
/movies/Modo Avião (2020)/Modo Avião (2020).mkv
/movies/Most Likely to Succeed (2019)/Most Likely to Succeed (2019).mkv
/movies/Cyber Bride (2019)/Cyber Bride (2019).mkv
