Plex No Longer Seeing Local Poster Files / Movie Agent Problems

So I’m running 1.20.2.3343 and recently, plex has stopped seeing local poster files in movies i add. That is, when i add a poster file to the directory, and then use the edit meta data tool in the plex ui - it does not see files that i’ve added. Movies that I updated before the problem still work; however that is it.

I have tried the plex dance - that did not work. The only thing I have gotten to work is the “Choose An Image” feature and then navigating to the folder via my explorer (Mac Finder FWIW). This is true for any movie I’ve added recently.

Below is an example of my file structure and all of my agent settings for Movies. Any suggestions?

Which agent is your library using?

The scanner and agent are both plex movie (not the legacy version).

First make sure that “Use local assets” is selected in the advanced options for the library.

If that is set correctly then I’ll need the logs to see what’s going on, first refresh the problem item’s metadata then go to Settings -> Troubleshooting -> Download Logs and grab the zip file and post it here / dm to me.

it was set to on - i toggled local assets and meta data both off and then both back on. restarted the server - and now it seems to be working again. happy to post the logs if you think it’s beneficial for whatever reason. :slight_smile:
