Anybody ever have this happen, The names are smeared together. And my scan circle is offset. When I ad new movies they appear with names blurred smeared, Then they disappear outta the list. Click on a Tv show, When you come back to main server screen they will not appear again till you scan the folder. Then they appear with smeared names. Few days like this it’s killing me.

That’s a problem within the browser.

Notice the activity arrow and busy spinner are misaligned.

In no specific order -

  • Clear the browser cache and restart it (to back in time about 2 weeks or so) and restart the browser

  • Clear the app data for Plex and restart the browser

  • Look at the recently installed Plug-ins / extensions.

Ok I did that all, even restore my pc to a previous point. All the same. Then I checked plex on 3 diff smart tv’s and 2 pc’s all the same won’t keep the last few movies loaded and they have the names smeared together. Any other ideas??? Seems to deff be in the plex synology server if it is on all.

The “Smearing” is actually multiple names overlapped.

For those titles, what does the XML reveal ?

Are they MP4 / AVI files ?

Have you tried a “Plex Dance” to clear out the records (in case it’s in the DB that way) ?

you can reload the software if you want.

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Uninstall + KEEP (default action)
  3. Download the SPK again
  4. Install again. It will find everything when it starts – just as before.

Ok so It’s still shows the issue.
I have a synolgy 1520+
How do I completly delete all servers from the Synolgy “I mean every singly piece of plex data” All servers and start fresh new server and reload 80tb of media.
Gonna just go fresh. Start fresh New everything

On DSM 6, you don’t need to delete it before trying a rebuild.

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Sign out of Plex/web
  3. FileStation → Plex shared folder → Rename LibraryLibrary.save
  4. Now start Plex again
  5. Give it a minute to build all the directories it needs (watch the CPU widge)
  6. Open it by http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web
  7. “Got it”
  8. Sign in
  9. First -run setup wizard will start
  10. Give it a Friendly Name which is obvious and doesn’t conflict with Production
  11. Now setup whatever you’d like.
  12. This second server is isolated (in “Library”) while your original is kept safe in “Library.save”
  13. If you decide you want the new server over the old – Delete Library.save
  14. If you want to go back
  • Stop Plex
  • Delete “Library”
  • Rename “Library.save” → “Library”
  • Start it up again.

If you also want to delete the server instance data - (what Plex.tv knows)

https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms

(Settings - Authorized Devices - Server (dropdown) takes you to this link ^^ )

REMOVE those server(s) which are old / defunct / not wanted

@Olli

Did you mean to post that in another thread?

Please post your logs there and Ping me :slight_smile:

no, because of the first post here.
but i just double check, maybe it’s because of display resolution.
My surface Pro runs Display setting at 200%
when setting Chrome to 90% or less, everything is ok :wink:

@Eville

I can go to Plex.tv, get the list of servers.

I can then PM you that list and will help you remove them

@Olli

Your post is not related to this at all.

There is another thread where text displays on top of itself.

I will find that thread and move these posts there.

Right now, you’re crashing another user’s thread.

@Olli

Please create a new thread.

Post the image you had plus your log files.

Ping me @chuckpa when you create it. I will get the notification where it is.

Sorry for disturbing,
i don’t need support with that…

But it looks just like a local display-resolution/scaling problem that Eville has…

anyway, just delete my/your messages if messing up…
