Plex on Synology wont allow deletion of libraries

Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.19.5.3112-b23ab3896-x86_64
Player Version#: ?

I hope you, your family, and friends are all safe and healthy. I have faith that we will overcome!

I did not do a good job creating my initial Plex / NAS setup.
I started over by creating a new media folder in another directory containing sub-folders and file names in the proper configuration (I think).

PROBLEM
Plex still sees the old library and won’t allow old library deletion. When I ask Plex to delete a library, the system goes into limbo, spinning progress indicator.

Can someone please give me a hand with starting over cleanly!

Thank You, Robert

Robert,
Since you’ve done this a few times now, I’d like to offer how I recommend setting up PMS on Synology systems.

Read through and take from it what works for you.

To start over completely,

  1. Plex/web - Settings - Authorized Devices (Upper left) – REMOVE this Syno PMS server . It will be recreated with new ID numbers as you start over

  2. Sign out of your Plex/web account (Upper right). You’ll sign in again during setup.

  3. Stop PMS

  4. Delete user Plex (Control Panel - Userrs)

  5. Delete the Plex share ( Control Panel - Shared Folders )
