Also there’s something wrong with the dashboard, there’s a stream going and there is nothing showing up in the GUI. I can see the data going out but that’s it unless I filter the logs.

Having the same problem. After update it displays a white window which is no responding. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the same problem persists. Running on a very old version of the player until there is an update.
This was a case with the 1.30.0 player update. 1.30.0 added in GPU accelerated UI rendering. It didn’t just work like it was supposed to. 
I rolled 1.30.0 back some hours ago. You can uninstall 1.30.0 and reinstall 1.29.1 downloaded from our website. I’m in the process of creating a 1.30.1 which works around the issue through auto update.
Let’s consolidate over in App starting up to blank or solid black screen?
Understandable, thanks for the quick reply. Chalk it up to Software to give you malicious compliance sprinkled with odd outcomes.
