Hi I have been at this for the past 2 days, can you check mine?
Thanks
Which one is the server that you are actually using?
Where is it installed?
If you have more than one server installation, DON’T point them to use the same external port number on your internet connection. Not even for a quick test. It won’t work. Each Plex server within your local network needs its own port forwarding rule, using its own individual external port number.
I just migrated my server off of my nas to my Mac mini. The one I’m using is “PlexServers Mac Mini” I also upgraded my nas to a new one, the old nas is ■■■■ down, but I wonder if some things got duplicated during the swap.
You have pointed the Mac to the same external port number as you NAS was. See my last response. You want a deviant port number anyway (i.e. one that is not 32400)
The server is currently sitting without a certificate, so that needs manual fixing by Plex staff.
I’m brand new to all this, how do I engage with plex staff?
I’ve already forwarded your issue. Though this being the weekend, it can take a while.
Ok, thanks a bunch. Cheers
Have the same issue, could you check my certificate too? @OttoKerner
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate.]
I believe I am having this same issue. Could you reissue my cert? @OttoKerner
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate. Fresh certs were issued to you today and yesterday as well.]
will i get a notification when this is complete?
I Might be on the same boat here, can the staff check please? @OttoKerner

It should be done now. Please stop and restart your server.
works perfectly now, thank you for all of your help! Merry Christmas!
Hello Otto. I am having the issue now out of the blue where the Remote Access will not stay Green. I have not changed anything in my network and the only that has changed on my server in the past 6 months has been updating to the latest version… 1.42.2.10156 Could this be the cert issue for me as well?
Thanks for any assistance

Thanks!

Mine stopped working two days back, my server is accessible using public IP directly using browser but it shows as offline in plex app & plex.tv with the message (app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “server name” securely ) , just recently found out about this thread, please check if i am affected.
[mod edit: please stop and restart your Plex server now.]
Back online, thanks
Am I able to get check on mine? It shows remote access is ok, but really it’s not.
As background for my specific case, I was using an old laptop running linux, but recently, it experienced hard drive corruption, and I replaced it with a 2017 iMac.
I had initially used the same server name, but then changed it in case there was some conflict with that.
[mod edit: your server needs manual intervention by an admin. I’ve forwarded your case.]
Hi @OttoKerner,
Would you be able to check my cert? Thanks so much & happy holidays!
