I’m having this exact same issue. I’ve about pulled my hair out trying to get this to work. I can’t even find a certificates folder in my PMS app. I’m on MacOS 26.2. Please help!

I’m having the same issue

I think I have the same issue, could you please check?
Repeated claim server which restored access to the library, but intermittent disconnects persist (every 30s or so).
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate.]
Would it be possible to check mine as well?
I have not been able to connect remotely for awhile now and I have been trying to troubleshoot all day but I still get a lot of expired Cert in console.
[mod edit: please stop and restart your Plex server now.]
@OttoKerner Sorry to be a bother just was curious how I’ll be contacted when they’re finished? Will they email me or will I get a reply here? Thank you again for all you do!
[mod edit: please stop and restart your Plex server now.]
Thank you! It’s working now!
Please stop and restart your Plex server now.
It’s working now… thanks! What was the issue?
Hello. Can someone take a look at my setup please? I’m also struggling with some secure direct access on LAN and remote access.
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate.]
My remote access stops working even when im off my vpn when it used to work fine before! Can someone check my cert please?
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate.]
I have had the same issue. I can connect while on network, but no longer can connect outside of network. Was working until a few days ago and I have tried everything in the troubleshooting guides.
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate.]
@OttoKerner Hi. I believe i am affected by this issue too. Can you check?
Thanks, Dan
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate.]
I am fully accessible per my remote access page port forwarded to 32400 but get either cannot securely connect or Plex server not reachable/offline.
I’d appreciate help please.
[mod edit: you are not affected by a stuck certificate.]
Hey,
I have been bashing my head with having a similar issue.
Locally it works perfectly, however when I try access it outside my network Plex says my server is offline.
I have a Virgin Media Hub 5
I have done the port forward settings 32400
Local IP (My Mac’s IP address)
Local start port 32400
Local end port 32400
External start port 32400
External end port 32400
Protocol: TCP
Enabled
I have reserved the Ip on DHCP
UPNP is Enabled
Yet when I click Enable now : remote connection, it goes green for a second and then turns red a few seconds later.
When I test with canyouseeme - it says connection times out
@OttoKerner Am I doing something wrong, am I possibly effected by the certificate issue? If I am not effected by the stuck certificate what am I missing, I have followed every article correctly
What is strange is prior last few days it was working perfectly fine locally and outside my network, not changes made to network settings or anything.
[UPDATE : My VPN was preventing the remote connection from being established, this has now been disabled and the remote access is now green and showing as accessible outside my network BUT I Still cannot access outside my network - with relay on - it defaults to relay connection - with relay off - server cannot be accessed at all and shows as offline]

Dear Otto,
Would you be so kind to check if this has happened to me as well?
I have been battling remote access for the better side of a month and still have not gotten it to work.
Plex is the only hosted service I have issues with outside my local network.
Thank you in advance.
[mod edit: there is no issue with your server’s certificate]
Response to mod edit: Thank you for checking Otto, must be something else then. Happy to know it is not this.
I have an inkling that I am affected by this. Would you please check when time permits?
[mod edit: there is no issue with your server’s certificate]
I also have this issue
[mod edit: this issue only affects server which are at least operating since October 2025. Yours is brand new and has a valid new certificate.]
@OttoKerner Terribly sorry to bother you good-sir.
I seem to have this issue as well.
However, clicking on ‘retry’ completely kicked my laptop off Plex, and the server appears as ‘unavailable’ now.
My other devices seem to work fine still… thankfully.
[mod edit: there is no issue with your server’s certificate. However, theere is only a nVidia Shield as a Plex server in your account. You might have used a wholly different account to claim that laptop server. Anyway, please open a separate forum thread of your own.]
Can you check my servers? It’s strange to me that they both stopped being externally available today, given that they’re in separate locations behind different routers. Grasping at straws
[mod edit: there is no issue with your server’s certificate. Stop using domain names in the local network, unless you have a publicly trusted security certificate for each server and have them added to the Plex configuration. Please open your own forum thread.]
Hi. I was directed here from the Plex Reddit sub after having similar issues. I can connect to my server through my local network using the address 192.168.xxx.xxx:32400. But trying plex.tv says "localhost” cannot be connected securely and the app can’t access my libraries either.
Is a mod able to check my certificate please?
[mod edit: there is no issue with your server’s certificate]
Issues like this are more likely to be caused by problems with your local domain name resolution a.k.a DNS.

If issues are continuing, please open your own forum thread.]
May you check my certificate? I’m having the same issue.
[mod edit: your NUC server didn’t have a certificate for some reason. Please stop and restart it now. If there are issues with your other server(s) as well, please open your own forum thread.]
