Would need server logs and player logs you are using to connect remotely.
I am unaware of any general outage on our end.
I would also restart routers etc at minimum. If many of you are on the same ISP it would be good to know. There have been ISPs that actively block Plex via their default security settings
Yep, same issue here. Plex wasn’t reachable so I restarted and went to local IP. It then prompted me to resign in (it never does this). Then it still didn’t work and the remote access tab says remote access is unavailable. On reddit there are loads of people reporting this same issue. Everything works, Plex has been online for months on this config and have updated over a week ago without any issues. Local connection works fine but remote access seems pretty much broken. Probably something with the remote proxies??
Remote access seems to have stopped for me this evening too. My ISP is EE in the UK. From a remote location I can manually connect to the IP:port stated in my Plex remote setup and I get a plex page, so it doesn’t seem to be blocked as such.
I need logs to give to our devs. I wish i could confirm but it is working for me. I see many of you are in completely different countries so not any ISP issue and need more details hopefully will be in logs.
Internal network works fine, remote access is fully down. Neither app nor web work remotely. Within plex settings, under Remote Access, it was red, not accessible outside the network. Hitting retry turns it green, but within a minute it turns red again.
Same problem here, central EU. In the server log, I don’t see anything relevant, only one message about NAT-PMP not supported by gateway, which is right because I have manual port forward. Sometimes it manages to register, but only for a few seconds.
I’m having the same problem here. Remote access isn’t working. I’ve tried restarting, updating, restoring an old backup, and setting up new port forwarding—nothing helps. It would be great if remote access didn’t get completely messed up after every update. Maybe you could give that to the AI as an instruction…
