Looks like it’s broken again, Sonos completely lost all connection to Plex again, can’t browse or play any music
plex.tv is completely unreachable as well
Hi! Found this forum post due to my constant Remote Access issues. I’ve been running plex for years and never had a problem, but recently it’s going red all the time. I’ll re-enable and it might stay green for a while, but goes red again, I see this in the log. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Server Version#: 1.43.3.10828
Server is running on Ubuntu 20.04.
Certificate expired and cert-v2.p12 was removed. I have confirmed the folder structure ownership and permissions.
PMS successfully retrieves the certificate subject, but CSR upload repeatedly returns:
CERT: Error acquiring new certificate:
Failed to upload CSR: 429 API rate limit exceeded.
Please assist at your earliest convenience.

To the mod who fixed my problem… THANK YOU!!!
Please check for my certificate as well, thank you.
Can you check mine? I’m having remove connectivity issues.
[mod edit: your certificate is only <1 day old. See if rebooting both server and clients makes a difference.]
Edit: No difference, any troubleshooting tips
Edit 2: Figured it out, rookie mistake thanks for the help!
Hi there, is it possible to check on mine instance too? I was able to access my server remotely via tailscale previously for multiple months until earlier this week - server remain accessible via my webbrowser on mobile data/have a plex pass. I’m unable to portforward as my ISP is a CGNAT thus relying on tailscale for remote access.
Have restarted my server/NAS/reinstalled PMS/plex client on my IOS and iPadOS devices twice.
Have ensured that the tailscale ip + port for plex is listed in the custom server access link.

[user edit 2] hi I’ve restarted my server multiple times + updated to the latest version. The problem persist on my plex ios/ipados clients. I’m still able to access my plex server via the browser on mobile with tailscale enabled; have indicated the tailscale server ip + port in the custom server access part.
Can you check mine as well? I’m having remove connectivity issues for a few months now.
[mod edit: your certificate is only <1 day old. See if disabling IPv6 makes a difference.]
Could you check my cert as well? I’ve been having remote access issues for months now and nothing I’ve found to solve them has worked.

Can I please have my certificate refreshed as well? Seems like that was the solution for this remote access problem for many users above.

Looks like I’ve been hit w/ the same issue. I’ve shut down my Plex server.

Can my certificate be checked too please. Been having connectivity issues since last year. Thanks.

hello i have 429 error since May, finally found this thread.

I’ve been having similar issues. Connects fine through MacOS Plex app, but doesn’t connect on app.plex.tv/ on various browsers/devices, also Roku app doesn’t connect either. Tried many solutions to no avail. Worth checking the certificate? Thanks

Unfortunately still receiving “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “…” securely”. I’ve reset everything, changed router DNS to google, tried the switching of secure connections from ‘preferred’ to ‘required’ and back again. No luck. Can you point me towards anything else to help?
Can I be added to this list? Posted a thread too
[mod edit: you already got issued 2 fresh server certificates today. So whatever your issue is, it has nothing to do with the certificates.]
My bad just checked and all seems to be working.
I’m having similar problems - can my certificate be checked as well?
Thanks.
[mod edit: your server certificate is quite fresh, so it’s not affected by the issue this thread is about. You should change the network mode of your container to “host network”. Please start your own forum thread for further questions.]
