I received an e-mail from Plex today noting an unrecognized access and advised to reset password, which was competed. Since doing so, I have been having issues with Plex. When logging in to Plex Media Server via Synology NAS (running DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 4), my server is not visible. When logging in via plex.tv (web app), the server is not visible. When I use my android Tv (sony), Plex just asked to link again using plex.tv/link and on the TV I am able to view the server and items inside of it.
I took a look at a few support posts but I do not see the “claim server” anywhere, nor can I figure out how to add the server. Can someone assist?
If you opt to sign-out all connected devices while resetting your password, this includes the Plex Media Server itself as well. That means you’ll need to re-claim your server.
There’s different ways to do that, e.g. by accessing the server through its local IP address (http://[Syno IP address]:32400/web) and signing the server in (Settings > [Server Name] > General → Sign In). Another option is described in the Syno FAQ.
