Has this issue ever been acknowledged by Plex staff?

Having the same issue of random skipping of sometimes over a minute during 20 minute anime shows. Happens in Windows 10 in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. This is bloody annoying and needs to be fixed.

I have this with anime a lot. Seems to be the web app ■■■■■■■ up. Doesnt happen on my phone or roku.
Getting this on the new Edge browser, which is chromium based. The issue must therefore be related to Chromium.
This is pretty frustrating, I’d like to see Plex staff acknowledge it.

I am seeing this as well on my chrome based web player.

I downgraded to 1.17, I test with every version of 1.18 to see if issue is resolved, still happening. downgrading again, tested on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox latest versions.
Latest PM server included an updated web client. Maybe it’s fixed?

Is there a way to collect logs from the web client to search through? I feel like this would be helpful.
Same thing for me. I’m walking back the versions in Docker to see if I can stumble upon when it works. I’m on 1.18.2.2041 and 4.24.2 web and it still skips.
Fortunately, I have Emby container to watch my shows until this gets figured out.
This feels like a web player issue and the current web player packaged with the current plex server is 4.22.2 and it skips for me. Its gonna be a ways back.
Same issue, media skips forward whether movies or music, often music will skip past tracks and have to manually go back to desired track. Doesn’t happen all the time but frequently. Ubuntu 18.04 server, Threadripper 3970x Plex Version 1.18.7.2438

It’s been quite clear that Plex developers are not engaged with this issue. These same videos that skip in Plex Web Player, absolutely do not skip in VLC/Emby/whatever.
The bottom line is that Plex cannot be relied on. It’s time to focus on Emby as my main media server.

I’m having the same problem on ChromOS 80.

I can’t seem to trace the problem of it. It’s not constant. I’ve watched 3-4 movies the last couple days and I’m 1.5 hours into this one and it just started doing it again.
Linux (Arch Linux) with latest Plex Server available for Cent OS 7. Skipping occured for me on both Chromium and Firefox, but turning off the auto quality feature seems to have cleared it.
I too am experiencing skipping issues since last update ( Version 1.18.7.2457) --it was fine and then just suddenly started doing it.
Please figure this out. I love my Plex!
