Plex tidal integration

I was wondering the the same thing. Seems kind of pointless if I can’t sync to mobile.

My issue isn’t connecting Tidal or integrating it to augment my personal music collection (use Add to My Music in Tidal link within Plex). My issue is how do I remove the integration from My Music. I don’t want it to do that anymore. I tried it, didn’t like it, and want to revert and there is no option for this. I currently have unlinked Tidal, as well as removed it from Online Sources (disabled Tidal). Tidal albums still show up under My Music for artists I added it to.

Please help. Thanks!

In PMS try - settings - library - allow media deletion. Then remove/delete the Tidal content you wish.

There is a new filter available in music libraries.
Set the view mode to ‘Tracks’
then click on ‘All’ - ‘Source’
then pick ‘Tidal’

Then you hold down the ‘Shift’ key and click on the first track
scroll down to the last track
hold down Shift again and click on the last track
Now you can remove all those tracks at once.

Actually there is a new feature that just popped up in Music. Click edit, Advanced, and scroll down to select/deselect “Include related TIDAL content”

I did that. Delete or Remove is not an option.

Actually you are both right I had to do the allow media deletion checkbox in settings first befire i could sort the tracks under Source: TIDAL to select Remove.

Thanks!!!

It seems Add to Queue isn’t functioning correctly between Music Library and Tidal tracks. On Mobile app if I start a queue with tracks from music library, then try to add Tidal tracks to the queue the option “Add to Queue” isn’t even available. Same thing if I start a queue with Tidal tracks and try to add music library tracks. On the web app, the option is there but it stops playback and starts a new queue. However, Tidal tracks that have been added to the music library can be queued along with local music library tracks correctly.

Hi all,
I’m hoping this is the right thread in which to post this query:
I don’t see any option in my iOS app to add Tidal selections to my music library.
I get “add to my tidal” and “add to queue”…but not “add to music” (which is the name of my library on my server.)
I’m 99% certain I’m running the most up to date versions of both Plex media server (on my mac) and the Plex app (on my iPhone) with Tidal linked to my PlexPass account.
Any help would be appreciated

Use the web app for administrative tasks app.plex.tv

Was that a response to me?
Does this mean that I can’t add Tidal albums to my music library on iOS (only from my computer)?

Precisely.

Ahh…thank you.

Still no joy…

I’ve got another wrinkle to the Plex/Tidal playlist discussion & can’t figure it out:

I created a new smart playlist (“custom filtered list saved as a playlist”) in Plex with the following criteria (track rating greater than 3 stars & not played within the last year), which perfectly combines my personal library with tracks I’ve added to my library from Tidal.

I noticed playing through the playlist at random for a few days that it never picked a Tidal-sourced song. Upon closer examination, Plex won’t allow me to play any song from a Tidal source via this playlist… if I directly click on the Tidal song, it skips it & plays the next locally stored song. It happens on the iOS player and the web client.

I’m on PMS version 1.15.4.993 using Chrome, Web Client 3.95.2, and iOS version 5.14.

Also, another closely related question: I noticed I get this error in just using the filter itself, and I guarantee I’ve added tracks from Tidal to my library.

Is this filter ready to use?

Try the hosted web app app.plex.tv

isn’t that the same url you gave me the first time?

This response wasn’t directed at you.

Do you have a local music library on your server?

@OttoKerner, the screen shots & problem I described happened while on the web app. (although the playlist I created there will always skip Tidal-sourced tracks while playing back on iOS or the web app). And I have 60k songs on the local server (in case that question applied to my situation…) Can I provide any other info? Thanks for your help.

@bony618, I am able to add Tidal music to my library on the iOS platform or on the web app. What’s your server version? Are you on 1.15.4.993 ? I’m grasping at straws a little, but wish I could help since that part of the integration is working well for me.
