Diagnosis steps.

  1. Verify the Network is pointing to the LAN IP of your modem/router

  1. Verify the NAS has the right IP and subnet mask

  1. If you’re trying to access it through the “Quick Connect” – don’t.
    Package center will show you the LAN IP when QuickConnect is off.

    If it’s showing you a synology domain then don’t use that button,
    Open the Syno by it’s LAN IP address instead. (you don’t want to be routed out to some other provider for this stage)

  1. If you can’t make progress using the LAN IPs, AND you’re also on the same subnet (Important) Then use this procedure to reclaim the host
