To show what I’m playing and the results I’m getting.
Router → Switch → Shield → TV (no WiFi)
I can also do this on one TV over WiFi. Two TVs over WiFi is pushing it in my home.

Maybe this Problem will fixed too, if this problem from Feb 2022 will be fixed:
Edit: Upps, problem beginn was Oct 2020,
How are you getting those detailed stats when playing ? I’d love to use these to diagnose an ongoing issue.
Pleaseeeeee can I have this build if its a special one ?
ha ha, yep it would be nice if they could re-enable those for us lowly users.
I have been asking for them back for years
afaik only Staff and Ninjas get those…
My thread from a while ago
I think a lot of this is there’s multiple issues being described in the same way, " stuttering " tends to lead people to a frame rate mismatch issue as it’s constant
What I’m and many other are experiencing is a " frame skip " or dropped frames, it happens seemingly randomly on the latest releases , but only after about 30 mins of playback. The initial part will play perfectly. Then all of a sudden ill notice these skips, audio is still fine as well.
Would just be much easier to see the real time stats and I can then conclusively say yes , it’s dropped a frame .
Interestingly, this issue is not there on 9.28.
January 2023 lol
I don’t think I’m downgrading that low.
So after reading these comments, can we all agree it’s a Plex issue, not a Shield issue?
I think it is an Exoplayer problem, so its Google.
I don’t agree lol
I can’t replicate it. You all know I’d be the first to raise his hand if I could reproduce it
Here. This is my standard “Beat it up” video.
It’s full 187 Mbps, 59.94 fps.
Below is a 10GB sample file.
Put it in “Other Videos” library section.
Play it.
If you get anything other than DirectPlay on your LAN then your LAN is broken. lol
Plex, and everything else I have, can play this without stuttering or transcoding.
This is the issue , ive got mega high bandwidth mkvs tested upwards of 150mbps and they play without a problem. But they’re generally short.
For some reason something seems to occur 35-40 mins down the line and a random frame skip occurs. I’m only going on my eyes because we don’t have access to the additional stats , but I’d bet me ass it’ll show drop frames.
This happens with 24hz content. I’ve not tested 60hz , maybe there’s a slight sync issue ,idk
This is direct playing everything , video audio , no transcoding no subs, it’s not buffering
Is there any way for me to show this happening in a client log ? Are dropped frames shown there ?
Would just love to get to the bottom of this , I’m watching a movie tonight on 9.28, I’ll see if it happens there but I bet it doesn’t .
I would love to get to the bottom of this too.
The sample file I provided is from a full length film.
Regarding the Nerd Stats, Can you turn them on?
This is the info on the movie fragment I posted above.
The stats show “average” video bitrate.

I thought the stats were not available on public builds ? I don’t have the option under debugging like before
Google play store ? Yea I’m not sure if that’s a special build for you because the latest heree is 10.19.2.1191
The last Movie, where i had two times of sync errors, is
Significant Other 2022 German 2160p HDR h265.
Problem first times comes also after 30-40min, but i dont know, maybe it was after 60min.
First I was thinking, it is the movie, but other people dont have the problem by same movie.
I its is like the (now fixed) HRA Problem, only me and a handfull other have the problem.
Can I do log the problem, full 84min? What I have to do?
And: Gemini Man run perfect here, without any error.
Interesting, Gemini man is a 60fps film, I wonder if it’s just related to 24hz content.
I get it on TV shows , movies , everything that’s 24hz.
10.19.2.1191 installed, no nerd settings here.
I will ask if Nerd Settings are because I work for the company.
If true, I’ll ask what the harm is of allowing everyone to see it. (I don’t see any)
Gemini Man is 59.94 FPS. It’s not 60 FPS.
I have equally demanding 29.97, 23.976 videos. ( I rip from the BluRay as a remux and keep all the bits )
Pleaseeeee make it happen i beg you LOL
Yea i wasn’t being specific regarding the FPS, honestly i don’t think it has anything to do with how difficult the file is to play ( bitrate , hdr etc )
