As it can be successfully sideloaded, Im boggled as to why Plex doesnt put it in the Oculus store.

I would love having this extaordinary application in my Oculus Quest 2.
There are lots of users asking for this version and it is strange that the original asked feature topic remains closed to actually know how many users are asking for this and study to reconsider the decission.

Iād be happy if they just port the app over without any improvements. I have the GO unit but it overheats after about an hour of use so I canāt really use it to watch movies. Bought the Quest 2 last week and wanted to watch some of my 4k movies on it but bummed itās not happening now.
After Gear VR not longer supported i bought a Oculus Quest 2 - Very sad Plex not working on it cause dlna is not really an alternative to Plex VR.
- 1 vote for plex on quest 2. I think it is an optimal way of consuming media.

Adding my name to the list here. Paying Plexpass user who just got a Quest 2 (my first VR ever) and I was getting so exited to watch movies in a virtual theatre!
Plex is impressively on SO many platforms already, and I think VR is especially in line with media super users.
Adding my support for a Kickstarter/IndieGoGo/Gamefound campaign to reach funding needed in prepaid purchases to create a PlexVR app for Quest 2 would be a no brainer.
Iād pay for it, and think enough would that youād fund the project. If not enough demand is there, no harm no foul except the time and energy to calculate and promote a campaign.

As a lifetime pass holder I too would love seeing Plex on the Oculas. Using bigscreen to access a large file system through DLNA just flat out sucks ass.

Just got a Quest 2 and the BIGGEST missing app is PLEX! Bigscreen and other apps are āokā but I want my PLEX experience! Lifetime PlexPass user here! Itās the only personal streaming/video management tool I use! And I need it in my virtual life too!

Quest 2 doesnāt support DLNA, so the Bigscreen solution never worked for me.
I use Virtual Desktop and just play movies through plext.tv. Works great for 3D movies.
They way PLEX has ruined the home screen and the experience with āRotten Tomatoesā hating every movie I own, Iām thinking of giving up on it for good.
C`mon PLEX, bring Plex (VR) for Quest 2.

I vote for it too. Oculus Quest 2 without a working Plex Client really sucks. the Browser from Oculus would be a good alternative but it doesnt support top bottom 3D content (greyed out). Firefox is even more awfull.
Got an oculus quest 2 last week for me and some for my family who are across the globe. Was going to pay the premium pass just for the VR functions. When itās available Iāll look forward to buying it for everyone. So, another +vote for Oculus Quest 2 app.
