Also a owner of a Quest 2 and my most used app right now is Netflix. It’s an amazing device to watch movies and series on. VR is the future in so many ways and the Quest 2 is the first, portable VR device with a price tag that make VR accessible to the public.
A Quest 2 app would dominate. SOOOOOO many people have this over Daydream / Samsung VR. Like I’m not sure why this hasn’t been made yet. I’d even pay a few bucks just to have it. A lot would. Like the mobile app.
This is rather disappointing. Plex watch together has been one of the best things getting many of us through the pandemic, and with so many people owning Quest 2 headsets now, especially over christmas where the Oculus app hit #1 on both app stores, what is the rationale behind at a minimum not releasing the existing Oculus Go app onto the Quest 2 store?
Can’t believe this is still not a consideration. Not even a steam app. Either Quest native or SteamVR would suffice. Millions of VR headsets out there now. Yes DLNA can be used, but that is missing so much of what Plex can do. It is just a flat file system method.
Please. I need this. If you don’t want to port do all the work of porting plex VR, then maybe consider partnering with BigScreen for proper integration with them. DLNA sucks.
