Yep. I ended up downgrading to 1.19.5.3112. I know that one has grid view for folders.

Well, here’s my comment to keep this thread open. I just started with Plex this past weekend. I could have swore that I had grid view everywhere, but then I couldn’t figure out why Folder view couldn’t change. Strange, since it’s available everywhere else…
No way am I paying for this now.

Guy’s this thread has been open for 2 years now and in April 21 you said
“This was an intentional change, and for now the folder view will be limed to a list-style view in the web app. We will re-evaluate at a later date to possibly add more view types for folder view.”
Clearly we have not been told of any Re-evaluation nor has the grid view been returned, or any other “view types” added.
This list view is really awkward to use, a lot of us don’t have a couple dozen movies in our library we have thousands. The list view has a very small poster and the menu and edit buttons are on the right side of the page on top of that I don’t need to see the movie description in this view. It’s a total waste of screen space and invokes a bucket load of mouse movements and scrolling.
So. Given that a lot of people have waited very patiently and this is a big issue for us could you please answer these questions.
- Why was it so imperative that the grid view be removed in the first place?
- Why can it not be put back, given how annoying the problem is, and when could this happen?
- Why no feed back on this topic?
I don’t think this is a big ask Mr Plex, given how much work most of us have put into our library’s, and don’t want to have to start again on a different platform. I, as have others, have been holding off on a lifetime Plex Pass until we can see a little more transparency and know we are not going to get stung.
Thanking you in advance for your conscious consideration on this rather large issue we all seem to be having.

It looks like Plex doesn’t care about people with movie libraries. They want to shove content based on “their” recommendations down our throat so later they will use it as advertisement feed and get $$$. They care only about how to get $$$, not about happy customers. 
They don’t even care about talking to the customers here or giving an answer that makes sense from at least some angle.
Another update, again nothing…
Plex seems not interested in customers and/or blind to the ergonomics of use…
