It’s been since April, Has or folder view options been re-evaluated yet? How long does plex need to accomplish this? Is plex hoping that people just forget about it and move on? I want poster view back. Plain and simple.

The first step to a solution is to acknowledge you have a problem.
Plex has not started yet.
Plex Media Server Version 1.24.5.5173 is available for me. Is Grid View back yet?
If not, I’ll stick with Version 1.22.3.4523

Doooh finally upgraded from 1.22.3.4523 but still no grid view??
Damn now I have to uninstall and install 1.22 again:-/

There’s Emby and Jellyfin. Both are far less bloated than Plex has become.
Wow… Career Software Developer and Development Manager here, I must say this is one of the worst Product Management decisions I have seen. I can’t imagine any Developer working for Plex being happy with this decision, If I were working at Plex and this decision was forced down my thought I would quit as I strive to do the best in everything I do not the worst. I look for the same from the Companies I work for and with the folks I work with. I am shaking my head in disbelief. Plus I am a very disappointed paying customer. I don’t stay down for long though… On my way tor revert a bad decision with a smile!

Another update 1.25.8.5663, and still no fix for that issue - still only awful whatever-its-called view that does not work for any movie library of a decent size.
Installed Emby. Once I am comfortable with it, I will dump Plex.
It was good while it lasted.

Now is probably the time to ask about the grid view in any thread, twit, whatever…until we have a proper statement that cares about customers (or not)…
Many of us prefer a return to good ergonomics rather than free but almost useless movies.

Version 1.26.2.5797, still no grid view. Dumb
Very Dumb indead… However I have just discovered that in the Plex HTPC version, there is indeed a grid view for folders… You don’t have a lot of control in that version on Plex, that’s also a bummer. I now have both versions installed and use the HTPC one to get the folder grid view for my movies.
Neither v1.27 nor v1.28 brought the grid view back. 
Emby to the rescue!

This is a stupid change, very annoying for users. How hard is it to just give us the grid view in this case… C’mon now.

As a longtime Plex user and recent Plex Pass buyer, I want to add my vote for the return of grid view within Folder view. Wanting to use the grid view but also wanting to organize movies or music by folder is a perfectly valid use case.

Adding my vote for return of grid view as well. This really is ridiculous and doesn’t make sense. The list/table view is quite ugly as far as UI standards and leaves a lot of empty space on the page.
