Plex won’t play files that haven’t moved… please check file exists

When I try to hit play it gives me the Playback error msg please check that the file exists. I go exactly we’re it see’s the file and the file is there (and can be played via explorer outside of Plex)
Been a longtime user. Named correctly. Computer rebooted. Several scans performed.

I have accidentally saved two different versions of the same file for two episodes of a tv show (so four files) in Plex it sees both files for episode one and both for episode two. However when I try to play either episode for either version it will not play.

I’m using Windows 10 Plex version 1.24.4.5081 I’ve deleted trash and rebooted.

Sounds like you need to perform the Plex Dance: The Plex Dance ™

Also check your permissions allow plex access to the path and folders.

The files are located in my Television folder. This is season four I have two copies one inside a season four folder and one just under the shows name neither work in Plex despite Plex seeing exactly we’re both files are.
