Plex won't let me add my media server After I some how disconnected my Remote Access

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314

I have a synology NAS that has been running as my plex server for a few years now. I recently moved and noticed I was having issues with my remote network. For some reason it displayed a caution symbol in a red circle next to it and said it wasn’t active to those outside my network. The strange thing is I have several family members who live over 3,000 miles away were still able to access my media. But that’s besides the point. I was trying to mess around with some settings to see if I could fix it and in doing so my NAS/Server was disconnected. All I did was uncheck a checked box that was next to another box that I had something like 32000 typed in. I then pressed Run and then it was gone. Since then, I have tried uninstalling plex on my NAS and reinstalling it. Updated it to the latest version. Logged out of my account on both my server and my computer and tried logging in using the app on the NAS. It will log me into my account but when I click on My Media, it just says “Get Plex Media Server”. What do I need to do for it my server to reappear so I can connect it again?

NAS model?
DSM version?

Verify network settings are correct

  • IP Address & mask
  • Default Gateway
  • Use a public DNS such as 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare), 8.8.8.8 (Google), 9.9.9.9 (Quad9)

Sync the NAS with a public NTP server.
Control Panel → Regional Options → Time

If running DSM 7, then follow FAQ 31: Reset / Reclaim PMS on DSM 7 (Not Authorized - Locked Out).
