Plex won't show local server

Server Version#: 1.18.5
Player Version#:

I have recently turned my Synology back on after a few months in storage. All data is still on there and available when connected via laptop. When I log into plex I can see a friends share, but I cannot see an option for my Synology anywhere, so I cannot use it to watch my own files.

I’ve searched high and low and cannot find a way of adding the NAS or switching to it. I can only see my friends share.

Any way around this?

Thanks in advance.

Make sure the Plex Media Server process running. Check Package Manager.

Can you connect directly to the server: http://pms_ip_address:32400/web/index.html

Try Synology FAQ #25. You must be on the same network as the Plex server when claiming it.

Also, the version of PMS you are running is a year old. Consider manually updating to the current release. Download the current version from plex.tv/download, then manually install using the Package Manager. See Synology FAQ #2, #3, & #3a.

Installation & Setup of Plex Media Server on Synology

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I forgot to mention yesterday that my NAS is now attached to a mesh wifi disc, rather than the main router for the house. Will this impact anything at all?
I’m updating the package and going through the rest of your comments now.

Cheers

What logs do you need/where are they?

Is the Double NAT issue solvable by port-forwarding?

Will I be able to move it again after? I have a busy media centre and was trying to tidy it up a bit by moving the NAS into my office.
