PlexMediaServer-1.20.2.3402-0fec14d92-x86_64.spk cant manually install

Server Version#: 1.13.4.5271
Player Version#: synology DS218
i can no longer access plex on my server as it needs an update. Once i download the .spk and double click on it, it tries to open a browser for a second and then closes down and nothing happens. How are you suppose to install the update? this shouldn’t be so difficult.

You install it using the Synology Package Center.

Specifically, Installing Plex Media Center. Scroll down to Downloading from Plex and performing “Manual Install” method.

Using Package Manager, you will need to uninstall the version you’re running now before installing the update.

Point to the package you downloaded
OK

and then NEXT in your browser.

Verify your specific model of DS218, as you need to choose the correct download. In DSM, Control Panel -> Info Center -> General -> Model name.

The package you list in the subject line, …x86_64.spk is not the correct one for a DS218.
