PlexMediaServer not pulling in media from a second music library folder

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314-72009314 (on Synology DSM7.2.2)

I am doing some testing of how PMS handles music metadata. I want to set up a second music library location on my NAS so that I can test a smaller subset of the library, rather than dealing with the entirety of the main library (only 1,000 albums, but still gets cumbersome for testing). I set up a second shared folder on Synology for this testing purpose, gave the Plex user full access to the shared folder, added a few albums to that location, and added the library location in Plex. Plex doesn’t detect any media in this location (but is reading my main music library fine). Looking for troubleshooting to sort out why this isn’t working.

To which account did you give access permission on the Syno?

You pointed me in the right direction, thank you. I did not give the PlexMediaServer system user access to the folder, and that was the issue/solved the problem. Many thanks!
