Same problem in AU. Will try reverting to earlier version later.
If you do not have access to an older version of Plex for SYNOLOGY, that is pre this DVR / EPG issue, where can I get a copy ?
1.16.2.1297 fixed my issue.
Same here. Shutdown Plex, Install 1226 via dpkg, Start Plex, Delete DVR, Stop Plex, Install 1297, Start Plex, Add DVR. Thanks!
Same issue here.
DVR is completely messed up. Can’t add a new one. The current guide is “empty” it says. Watching live TV with the same tuner through tvheadend as we speak.
Ubuntu 18 Plex server 1.16.1.1291
I will give Plex 1 week to fix this otherwise i will simply cancel the paid services. This is not worth it.
So can confirm that downgrading, deleting pvr, upgrading and then setting up new pvr does work.
New epg seems a bit rubbish though with some channels having no data, others incorrect region but at least it’s working now and only due to the efforts of posters on this site.
The silence from plex is very disappointing considering that this affects paying customers.
Not me.
Seems many of us are having the same issue with our EPG setups.
How do you roll back to the earlier versions of PLEX Server please?
this is crazy… they switch EPG’s and break all dvr functionality…Its the only reason i have plex… its broken in 16.0 16.1 16.2 and the beta version of 16.3… i have also tried the work arounds in this thread of killing the pms and restarting it, and it can see it, but will not update the guide and i am unable to adjust what channels i have. I attempted to roll back to the only old version .deb i have 1.13 and it atleast tries to update the guide…though it fails. I see that this is a continuing problem with 3ish versions of pms coming out since then and that fact that i will as on sunday no longer have any guide data is crazy
Fir Mac and QNAP, you simply re-install the older version.
Thanks for the response. I was after the process for a rollback to an earlier version. Found it in an alternative thread & fixed the problem.

Installing older version is the process for rolling back on Mac and QNAP.
What platform are you on and can you share the process for it?
Cheers,
J.
I’m running Plex on a Windows 10 PC. My EPG is up & running well after the rollback.
What phones are you referring to?
Cheers

Hi Bob - I thin k we have a massive misunderstanding. I am not referring to phones at all. I was trying to help you roll-back your server to an earlier version to fix your DVR problem. …however my knowledge is limited to Mac computers and QNAP NASs (with Linux based) which has a very different method of installing than Windows devices.
Thanks JC.
Your reply asked about phones & had me confused.
All good though.

Agh - that was typo (should have been process) which I subsequently corrected.
sorry!
Same for me. Downgrading to 16.0, deleting the PVR (and waiting for any guide refresh that was running to complete), upgrading to 16.3 then recreating the PVR worked.
The new guide does seem to have different program names, so most of my recordings also needed recreating.
Based upon the warnings here, I was careful to delete the PVR before upgrading. Upgrade went w/out a hitch. A handful of my scheduled recordings needed to be recreated and I did come across some bad episode guide data.
damit,
i didnt see this topic before removing the DVR setup, tried downgrading, setting up DVR, but now it does not even work in the old version when re-adding it… they broke it real good…
Great solution. Worked just as you mentioned. Any and all Linux users need to follow these steps if they run into this issue.
