PMS not scanning TV shows

This is what I name for the entire show. Loki.S01E01 then go on. is it right?

Yes, Loki.S01E01.mkv is correct.

Now repeat for episodes 02 through 06.

I did like naming all of them the same thing at the beginning. Someone told me that.

It won’t detect changes.

After you renamed all the episodes, then follow the instructions for the Plex Dance. You must do all of the steps in the order they are listed.

Plex should then correctly pick up the TV show.

If it does not, then pull another set of log files and attach to the thread. Something else is happening.

Which language please?

quelle langue s’il vous plait ?
que idioma por favor

Looks good.

Sorry, I have to use another one. I reached maximum reply. I did move out all the files like the Plex dance say. And I also scan the file so it detect the changes. It won’t I empty trash like the Plex dance and clean bundles. It still not detected any changes. Then I scan all the library again and Loki isn’t there.

Two things to check.

#1: You are using a TV Library, correct? It should have a TV icon Screenshot (719) to the left of the name.

#2: What folder did you add to the library?

To check, hover over the three dots to the right of the library name, then choose Manage Library → Edit. Then choose ā€œAdd folders.ā€ See screen captures below.

We need to verify the full path (ex: /Users/chris/Movies). Yours will start with /volume1/

Edit-Library-1

mceclip3-18

Iwhen I click edit, this is what I got. volume1/benthien2007/tv and yes I did that to the tv icon

I also try to delete the tv show then re add it. This time Loki worked but Wanda vision don’t. Also Loki only got 6 episode, I don’t know how it scanned and say 9 episode in there. And btw Wanda vision is in the right name

Thank you for the information.

Plex does not support subfolders such as /Tv/MCU-Tv when the library points to /Tv.

  1. Move the shows from /volume1/benthien2007/Tv/MCU - Tv/ to /benthien2007/Tv/.

  2. Rescan the library if Plex does not scan it automatically (see prior screenshot, choose ā€œScan Library Filesā€).

Plex should then pick up Loki.

Thank you so much. It’s been like long time and finials Plex worked again. So I wonder what is the real issue here?

Glad to hear it is working.

You should name and organize WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier using the same structure as Loki.

The problem is file naming and organization.

Plex is very picky with TV shows.

You need to follow the Plex documentation as close as possible.

If you do not, Plex sometimes works, but it will eventually break.

If you follow the correct naming and organization it works 99+% of the time.

This section of the Plex documentation covers how to name and organize files:

Wait, its scanned the library successful but why I can’t watch it. It say Plex cannot access the media file.

What did you try to play - Loki or some other show?

Btw, what is your Venmo or PayPal, I’ll buy you a coffee for your help. It means a lot to me.

Yes, that’s what I am trying to do

That’s a nice offer, but unnecessary.

Pay me back by helping out somebody on the forum. That helps the entire Plex community.

That is really nice of you okay I’ll try (I’m kinda new to Plex) oops. Also, I tried to watch Loki and other show but it won’t play. It let me watch the movie but not to show
