I’m using OpenPHT on macOS, which is apparently a part of the RasPlex distribution, it is using the old OpenSSL 1.0.2 version and ships a cacert.pem bundle file, which contains the expired Let’s Encrypt X3 certificate.
Replacing the cacert.pem file from #645 (comment)
in /Applications/OpenPHT.app/Contents/Resources/XBMC/system/cacert.pem
did not help.
But replacing it with the one linked at https://www.reddit.com/r/usenet/comments/pyo27t/ndngd_lets_encrypt_root_certificate_expiration/hevvwol/
helped.

Maybe it helps others with RasPlex / OpenPHT as well.

Desktop OpenPHT clients can just have their cacert.pem files replaced.
You might also need to regenerate your Server cached cert-v2 file, as described at PMS suddenly shows issues with remote access 9/30/2021 10AM EST - #147 by BigWheel
