This is not a problem but a question. Now that I have upgraded to the DSM 7 beta I am wondering where the PMS install is now located. I had a Plex share where the older PMS install was located but the new install for DSM 7 is not there? Can someone help?

It does specify the default location during installation. With all alpha/beta software, you do need to pay more attention than normal when dealing with installations and configurations.

DSM 7 gives you the option of choosing installation volume.
I adhere to what DSM tells me.
IF I find an existing DSM 6 installation on a different volume, I report that and instruct to install On That Same Volume (a DSM 7 requirement for automatic migration)

Should we ignore PMS upgrade notices for now?
If stable on DSM 6 – Stay there UNLESS willing to endure pain.
I am making a (hopefully) final rewrite of the package. 
It is best to wait while I resolve the issue I found yesterday
