What appears to be happening, (Please correct me if wrong).
- Your computer is 192.168.20.4
- Your QNAP is 192.168.30.20
- This is reaching across subnet boundaries.
Correct ?
PMS won’t let you do that in order to claim it.
You need to be on the same subnet
– OR – use a Plex Claim Token
– OR – SSH into the QNAP.
Is this the situation?
Are you comfortable enough with using SSH or Putty to copy/paste a command ?
The best situation for most folks is to have everything on the same subnet. It makes everything work better and makes no difference in internal security.
