Iā€™m sorry I donā€™t have any updates. Iā€™ve personally not been able to reproduce.

  1. I have asked for information from the submitted log file which file was used so that I could send it in, and 2) User VTron21 above also indicated that he would be more than willing to send in a specific file but neither of us has had any response to our requests.

The log file unfortunately did not give me any clues. If you are willing to send a sample file that does this then you can click on my username to message. I suggest putting it on Google Drive or similar and just message a link if it is large

sorry Iā€™m not sure why i did not see your notifications. I do not have any updates. I could not reproduce with the file you sent me via DM. Do you have any any other files that also always do this?

I can send you hundreds of files, but if you canā€™t get it to do it with the one, I have absolutely no faith that another will do any better. Why donā€™t you try the file from the other user who sent theirs in?

There obviously is an issue and multiple people are experiencing it.

@heathen3017 @VTron21 I did get Vtrons21ā€™s file to crash player. I noticed their was an thumbnail embedded in the file and remuxed it with mkvtoolnix removing the image and then it played. Can you check if other files you have that do this also have a thumbnail.

Every single file that I have on my Plex Server has a thumbnail. All files are H.264 mp4 files. It fails on many, but most play fine. All thumbnails are added in via iTunes.

OK Iā€™ve added my own logs from the test file to bug report so hopefully will not need anything more from yā€™all. Again i apologize for losing track of this topic.
