same problem here too. MP3`s won`t play. I receive an error and the Raspberry always try to transcode. Error message is: "Transcoding unknown video codec: mjpeg". The Server is local and transcode should not happen. Settings for local were set to Direct Play. Watching films from remote library is not possible too. I am not so familar with Raspberry Pi and I saw another thread were transoding profiles were discussed. So forgive me when watching remote movies is not possible yet and my knowledge is only limitet in this case:-)
Regards
yeah this bug has just been reported several times and acknowledged. I'll look into it, getting the highest priority.
I have several uncompressed Blu-Ray files created with MakeMKV, and when I try playing those it says unknown codec VC-1. I am running plexmediaserver-0.9.9.7.429 on FreeBSD 10 and I copied Plex Home Theater-RaspberryPi.xml into /usr/local/share/plexmediaserver/Resources/Profiles/
just got around to using latest ver. I can't get over on how much better the UI looks in 1080p...
Still gaining some experience and thought on the version.
One thing that baffles me, is how do i use the precaching? in 9.9.20 i could manually start precaching. Now the only option on the "control precaching" menu is to select the server. But after i select it, how do i start the precaching itself?
u have to select the server, my gui didnt clearly show the selection but just have faith. then scroll to ok and in a bit precaching will start and you'll see the info window.
Have not stopped all day but I think I finally have it running perfectly.
To install it to a USB stick I used the Rasplex installer to put it on my SD card.
Copied everything off the SD card to a folder on my computer.
Reformated the SD card using mini tool partition wizard as a primary fat32 partition with SYSTEM as the name. Leaving roughly 10% space unallocated at the end.
Copied the files back to the SD card and edited cmdline.txt to read this
boot=/dev/mmcblk0p1 disk=/dev/sda1 quiet
Edited the config.txt using notepad++ to read this;
Then using mini tool partition wizard again I formatted my USB stick as a primary ext4 partition with the name STORAGE. Again leaving roughly 10% space unallocated at the end.
And that's it :D put them in your pi and play.
P.S make sure your cmdline.txt "DOES NOT" contain growstorage. This will mess things up
And obviously those settings I listed for config.txt are overclock settings using force_turbo (voids your warranty)
My Pi is a 512mb model so i set the gpu_mem to 256. You may want to change this if you have a 256mb model.
If you want to use the MediaStream skin then u need to follow the steps in my previous post.
Yes its possible as mpeg2video was not listed in the codecs that would be supported by Rpi.
were these same files played before update ?
Same problem here. The files played before update, licence keys are set in config.txt.
Another issue: after booting, audio settings are 2.0, no dolby. I can activate 5.1 and that stuff, everything works fine then, but after reboot my setting are gone.

You might want to make a separated post for that in the forum and i coud pin it out for other users :)

Hehe, yeah that's what i also told to myself when finding that one :)
You should have an OK button at the bottom right of the server selection window ... just continue moving down when you have selected the servers and it should select :)

Ahem, i'm not exactly sure what you mean but i'll try that when i get home. Maybe the flow should be a little clearer so an explanation wouldn't be required in the first place :)
Oh wait, I just figured out what you meant. I DID select a server and scrolled down to OK, but nothing happened when I clicked it. Isn't there supposed to be a progress bar for the precaching (like in 9.9.20)? Is it possible that you enabled automatic pre caching again and I just missed it the first time?
