A known bug in .38, use .37 for now untill .39 is released, .39 might be released as early as tomorrow.

Does Rasplex handle .sub and srt subtitle files?
I'm not getting them displaying, but I'm unsure if it's even supported so I thought I'd ask the question first
I'm running 0.1.38. The SD card is a class 10 Patriot. I already have a working Plex configuration on an XP machine, and I'm accessing the data base on it. Thus, I know what Plex should look like, giving me a basis for comparison.
As is often the case with Betas, I think I'm peeling back problems one layer at a time. Today's problem is that, when I try to run local files, the video doesn't show. I step down through the menu to get to the video just fine, and I get the usual "wait" flag. Pretty soon, the audio starts playing, but not the video.
This problem does not seem to exist when I play material from the web, like "TWiT." There, things behave more normally.
Does anyone have any ideas, or is this a known bug which we must live with for the moment?

Srt in mp4 played using direct play and created using Subler works for me on 0.1.37 and 0.1.38. But some of these subs show some weird behavior (not seen on other players): http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/70382-html-in-subtitles-not-rendered-correctly-and-crashing-rasplex/
Thanks for the info Abmaonline. I think I was forcing transcoding. I might try direct play
What power supply are you using?
I'm having the same issue.
I can configur RasPLEX without a problem and all seem to work.
After a restart it does give the mount error.
I have tested 4 SD cards and all have the same problem.
When I load OpenElec on them or any other XBMC install they all work without a problem.
Only RasPLEX is giving me this problem.
I have checcked the overclock settings and set them all back to defauls so 700, 250, 400, 0
The power supply is a Iphone power supply 5V - 1 Amp.

That may not be a good enough supply for the PI. Do you have an iPad one you could try with (they seem to be better)?

Thanks for the quick replay.
I have tested the USB from my DELL latitude, the USB of my Macbook, the supply of iPhone and this the same as for my iPad 1.
All other distros work just not RasPLEX after a restart.
Must admit, after having issues in the past I don’t try powering my Pi with anything less than a 2A supply… Even from a 12v battery I use iPad grade converters.

If this is the case that the project is out of the window.
With Openelec I have the Pi connected to my Sony TV HDMI and USB.
I can control it and it works like charm.
On the server I have Plex server running so the RasPLEX would be the best solution as the marking of the files is then done correctly.
But when I have to power the Pi via a seprate power supply the advantage is gone.

Somthing intresting.
The PI has the problem in RasPLEX to mount the second partition.
When I install the whole lot on a USB stick and simply rever the second partition to mount the USB stick then the system does work.
Without any boot problems. :)
Hi,
My rpi works but is really slow in the menus (really slow, like off to make a cup of tea between button presses!!). Is this to do with the same issues as the cold cache?
Cheers
Hi all,
Great job so far with rasplex. It's a pretty slick interface and I look forward to each update.
I'm seeing some odd behavior with channels, and this seems to have arisen in or around 0.1.37 (which I'm currently running). For channels that do work with rasplex (I've only tested this with the Daily Show and the Colbert Report), the first entry in the root-level menu seems to be missing.
For example, in the Daily Show Channel in most official clients (PlexWeb, iOS, MacOS), the root level menu shows:
- Full Episodes
- Guest Interviews
- Correspondents
- All Videos
Under Rasplex, the root level menu for the same channel shows
- Guest Interviews
- Correspondents
- All Videos
- Search

This could be a PlexHT issue... Since you're a plexpass user: Have you tried the latest PlexHT for Mac too?
Please report some feedback if this issue is still present with the upcoming release of RasPlex (should be available within the next few days).
Many thanks to both Dale & a_wein for the newest release. I would like to know is there any difference between 1.40 & 2.0?
Just updated to 2.0 but it's not finding my media server. I'll let it run for a few minutes and see if it just shows up..
edit: i've tried everything but manually entering my PMS IP into the PI... and it still won't show my PMS.
They are the same. We just decided it's worth to increase the version number more significant.

Found a couple of issues with 2.0:
ssh broke (unable to login with default username and password)
media stream skin sometimes hangs
unable to resume movies
IOS plex remote not working (checked multicast and i'am ad the same subnet i can see the client but no response from rasplex)
if i find something new i'll check back

I'll look into these issues today.
Regarding SSH: It works but may require a reboot after enabling it. (The hostname has changed to rasplex with 0.2.0!!! - not openelec)
