Tried using Rasplex but it doesn't seem to recognize any of my keyboards and my plex remote app would work for a second then freeze up.
Well, I tried the latest 1.31 tonight... no improvement at all.
I also noticed that even if I put my keyboard layout to "fr" (I'm french) it's stuck to "qwerty" (us or en, duno which)...
I had many reboots trying to connect to my "plex account" either using the username/pw or the pin code (the way it used to work earlier).
It says "hurrah" then... reboots :x
So, at the moment, I can't consider this to be usable =)
I hope in a couple of weeks (or months) things will be better, if not flawless ;)
Keep the good work, I'll keep testing every release until I actually can watch my queued videos ! (youtube, vimeo, dailymotion)
I also noticed a bug tonight with my Q-PAD MK-85 keyboard having many "sticky keys" (but it was already doing the same with other RPi's distros). I was using another keyboard earlier (standard one) with no input bug. I think this is related to this keyboard running some "virtual usb keyboard" handling the "N key rollover" feature... So I guess the driver is missing on RPi's (it's working like a charm on my linux desktop).
Regards

The issue with "sticky keys" is often indicative of your power supply being inadequate for the PI (which is possibly why you see it in other distros; it may be this keyboard draws more power than the other one).
Just updated to 1.31, with a Sandisk 32GB class 10 SD Card. I have a reasonably large collection of films, (700+) a mix of 1080p and standard definition.
Whenever I play a film, either SD or HD, it thinks about it and then throws up "Playback failed. One or more items failed to play." I not sure how I go about checking the logs.
However, when I play TV Shows, usually SD, it works flawlessly. No pauses, no stuttering, just works. But HD TV Shows just don't play, no black screen or playback failed. Nothing.
Model B - 256MB RAM
International settings always go back to english after reboot.
Mouse still not available.
For the rest it begins to be an usable product.
Vers. 1.31, RPi rev B 512M, Class 10 SD card

Hi, thanks for your answer.
I already knew that (because I already tried to solve this same issue with another Pi distro (RaspBian at that time) asking on another forum and I got the same reply), and that's why I'm using a USB HUB powered with a 2 amp plug which powers both the keyboard and the Pi.
The issue is still there with this "odd" keyboard even if I also plug the "0.7 amp" plug (I got with my first Pi) to power the Pi (so letting the full 2 amp plug to power the keyboard alone through the USB HUB...)
I almost gave up with this keyboard working on the Pi (even though I still wish it would work...) and now I'm more focussed on the Pi working with tablet/phone app and/or computer (like "Plex Queue" / "Plex It" shortcut).
The fact that I couldn't play any "youtube/vimeo/dailymotion" video is more of a no go for me at the moment...
Another "weird thing" is that my regular USB mouse doesn't work on RasPlex but works flawlessly on any other Pi distro I've tested (RaspBian, RaspBMC, openelec) so I guess it's just RasPlex that doesn't load the "mouse driver" (or whatever makes it work =)
I'll try the 1.32 (or the latest one at that time =) as soon as I can get a couple of hours to make new tests.
I won't give up until I can play my queued videos ! I tell you guys XD
Edit : Do you know where the "changelog" is so we could "track" what's change since the previous image release ? I couldn't find it on the sourceforge...

Strange about the keyboard, maybe one of the developers or another user has an idea.
I have had some strange behaviour with a Dinovio Edge attached as well (it crahed and restarts the PI ad then works but then just stops working after a while) but I haven't had time to figure out more for a bug report yet.

Thanks for your answer, as I already said, the QPad MK-85 includes a "virtual keyboard" which handles the "N keys rollover" feature and thus is not recognized as a regular USB keyboard (I didn't "dmesg" that but I could do it on my computer later tonight).
As a matter of fact, am I the only guy who's unable to play youtube/vimeo/dailymotion videos from his plex queue ?
I seem to be the only one complaining about this issue...
Wow i can't believe people are having so many problems!
Mi rasplex works flawlwess, the key is to leave it running for a day or two once you have done that everything is super fast! I use cec with my samsung remote , works great, wired ethernet gives me no chopiness on either 180p or 720p, BSOD is gone , ui super responsive everthing is great. Rasplex is faster than raspbmc when it comes to playback and Im sure it will only get faster. Only thing missing is channel support!
I havent tried the live tv yet but just bought an hd homerun to test that feature out hopefully pvr will be added soon

Try to select another language, 24 h time format, etc. and then reboot. All your international settings will be lost and raxplex will reset them to defaults (English 12h am/pm format, etc.)
That is annoying for people from other countries.
Mouse support will be also interesting.

There is some LiveTV support since 0.1.30. It seems to still unstable and is not yet integrated into the default skin. (Take a look the the LiveTV wiki page for more details). Please report feedback and issues too.

Locale settings are fine for me and I'm unable to reproduce this issue. How do you reboot the device? (Just pulling the plug isn't always a good idea - some settings data might get lost)
I'm almost sure that RasPlex will never get mouse support - the system is designed to be controlled via remotes (IR, Apps, Bluetooth) or a keyboard as a fallback.
HI,
I have been playing today with version 1.32.
I have a model Bv.1 (256M) Pi, so, I was not expecting great things.
I have a small collection of movies and tv series, but a medium collection of cd's in flac.
My plex server is remote, accessing it through the myplex account.
Well, I have not been able to play any video content yet. My settings have the server send directly to the client, and even SD content does not play.
As for audio, I have experienced less problems, but they do exist. After a while (not too long) of listening to some music, The Raspi freezes, stops music, of course, and, con occasions restarts plex. On other occasions it just sits there, alive but useless. Right now I am still waiting for it to respond.
Meanwhile, I do not seem able to ssh to it (ssh times out), so I can only guess it is busy doing... something. On second thought, it may not, as it does not respond to pings even.
My network seems, otherwise, OK.
Interface is otherwise laggy (have not waited the couple of days others suggested...).
Well, just wanted to report this case. I suppose people with 256MB Raspis will need to move on to a better spec-ed machine.
Thanks for your work.
Right now it was playing a 48K Flac song.

This is pretty much exactly how many PI is behaving.
Using Model B 256MB Pi. HD videos don't play, occasionally SD content plays but only once in a while.
Well, I finally was able to play some video content, a Colbert report video at 360p, but after a few minutes, it made plex freeze.

I select Spanish and everything works in Spanish what is OK, then I select "Off " to shutdown rasplex. To start it again I disconnect power supply and rasplex starts in English.

It worked, I had to disable the CEC adapter even my TV was set in spanish. Now rasplex remembers the region settings.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion
Posted in wrong thread sorry.
