I often face problems with the metadata of (kids) TV shows, for which I recently added metadata to thetvdb myself.
Problem: Metadata is fetched in english, although metadata in my language (german) exists. Refreshing metadata does not cure this. Library language is correctly set and works for older episodes and shows were german metadata already existed when fetching the metadata.
Occurence: mostly when metadata was fetched right after the german data was entered into thetvdb and the plex proxy/cache was probably not updated yet.
Strangely it seems as from time to time episode(s) do get updated, but when and why this works is beyond my understanding.

See the wild mixture of english and german although thetvdb has german metadata for all episodes in display.
Do I need to perform a plex dance to resolve this?
Unmatching and rematching did not help.
