I did a complete wipe and reinstall of my windows 10 machine in preparation for a windows 11 upgrade, but now when I cannot create a new PMS. I deleted the old server from my account fresh installed PMS to start from scratch, logged into my account, but each time I try to enter the server I am met with the attached screenshot. no matter how many registry keys deletes or edits I do. or uninstall and reinstalls. I am stuck with no idea of a direction to take to resolve the issue.
I can certainly try that but I do not think it is a matter of reclaiming the server as I do not believe it exists any longer. nothing from the old plex server(aside from my media files on a separate drive) still exists, I wiped out the entire setup, it no longer even shows the media server in the plex web app. I am just trying to start fresh.
I havent created a new server to claim yet, It never took me through the initial setup, from the first time I opened the PMS “Open plex” from the windows start bar it went to that unauthorized screen. I could also be a little dense on the situation, I have been at this for over 4 hours now editing the registry and reinstalling, etc.
Yes, I have followed that article about 3+ times now, after deleting the registry keys and opening up the plex web app it just buffers “Initializing Plex Media Server” and never goes anywhere. picture below.
So after all that you still suggest the github credential reset?
I have deleted the plex server as an authorized device multiple times and come back to the unauthorized page every time.
A zip of that entire folder is what I am asking for. It is common for people to upload logs, filenames. paths and possibly your public IP might be exposed.
But I can’t get to any settings. Fresh installed windows, fresh installed PMS and as soon as I “open plex” from the windows bar and log in to my account it sends me to that no access page. It never lets me configure the new plex media server.

The server and media files are all local to the workstation I am currently on. Nothing is remote, all is local to the machine. I had no problem setting the server up originally, only now after the fresh windows OS install.
If you are hosting locally, I assume you are behind a firewall/ISP router?
When looking at the logs, they show that your server is using an IP address that belongs to Microsoft!
This will not work, and you need to use an IP range that @FordGuy61 said, for both your server and all other devices at home, so please take a look at your router DHCP settings, and after correcting those, restart all devices so they can get a new IP address
