Hi , sorry to ask in this sad moment but i prefer to ask to be sure . I just saw that u push a new 1.7.0 release but i didnt see a pi version. Is the rasplex version is dead ?
Thx for ur work !
There is no official v1.7.0 release yet but there is a feature test release available intended for skin developers, testers or anybody else who want to play with the new features …
The reason why there are no RPi pre-releases is simple:
I don’t own one and therefore I can’t provide test builds for this platform, the official v1.7.0 release will of course have RPi builds.
@bkury If the community donated more devices like an Odroid C2 and an rPi3, would you be wiling to create test/dev builds?
Hey Guys, maybe you can’t/won’t comment on future releases but is there any hope for OpenPHT on the Shield TV?
PMP is lacking and SPMC with PKC is too clunky for my liking. If it’s not possible/likely then I’m gong to order an Odroid C2 and have a play. I miss OpenPHT since getting a Shield but I think with the Shield’s hardware capability it would make it a perfect client for me!
As @benjaminwolf aluded, I wouldn’t have any issues contributing towards hardware purchases to help out.
I am not getting watched/unwatched indicators at the TV episode level and On Deck does not include all of the series I am midway through watching. Is this a bug or do I have something configured wrong?

We might have official nightly/weekly builds in the near future (all platforms) but right now it’s only a “personal” dev build intended to get some feedback on the new features like mouse support and gui/skinning changes …
@bkury i send you a msg about . Can you read it ? Thanks

Understood. I tested some of the 1.6.3 dev builds for the C2. But some of us don’t have hardware setup to test the builds you have available. But there is a fairly large rPi community and a slowly growing C2 community. If the team wants to make builds for us to test, I think we’d like to make sure the team has the hardware they need without out-of-pocket expense if possible.
I highly encourage anyone with a few extra bucks to make donations to support the project team. But donations are always easier to solicit when there is a specific goal in mind.
But some of us don’t have hardware setup to test the builds you have available.
There are windows, osx and ubuntu (linux) test builds available. I’m pretty sure that (almost) any RPi or C2 user out there also have at least one of these OSes in use … and mouse support isn’t something you would normally test with a RPi anyway, it’s more suited for desktop systems.

I think we have all the hardware necessary to provide builds for every platform. It’s more a build environment thing, e.g. build processes have to be automated, build scripts have to be written for every platform and so on. We will eventually get there …

I would of said the same thing before I tested a previous mouse support build and realized it returned some of the button functionality to my WiFi Keyboard Airmouse remotes I use. That was really useful.

Very cool. We just want the team to have what you need to keep doing what you’re doing. ![]()
I am unfortunately finding it impossible to use OpenPHT for watching television episodes, because there is no way to tell which ones I’ve watched. I’m not sure why this is the case, as that feature works on every other Plex client I’ve got. It is pretty frustrating. The embedded version I’m using (1.6.2) also lacks any skins other than the default and there does not appear to be any way to add them. I am seriously thinking about going back to PMP.

in your thread you didnt post any information at all like what version of openpht you were running, screenshots, logs etc so its a big guess. and likely why you didnt get any response
in general it works fine for both watched flags and installing the skins so you do need to look at your setup to find the solution…
Guys, i would really appreciate if someone can help me out.
I need to install OpenPHT OS similar to OpenElec but on my Mac Mini.
Am unable to get the OS booting. Also, when i tried to install OpenPHT on Ubuntu, it doesn’t detect key presses. Is it possible to incorporate keypress changes as per kodi ? Kodi has recently change the way keypresses are detected for Apple Remote.
Now Atvclient need to be changed from JS0 to CC for the actions. Let me know if any details are needed.

The issue with the skin selection was fixed by re-downloading and re-installing the image. Everything works great now. The issue with on deck and watched was based on me being an idiot and not noticing I was logged into the wrong account.
How about fast forward playback?
I would love to see videos in a fast frame rate, like at 1.5x speed.
Is it possible? may be next release…

Separate options to disable/enable pre-play screen for tv/movies. Existed in PHT, using Plex Black Edition skin. Now it’s both or none. Like it for movies (extras, etc.), don’t need for tv shows. Posted in the Black Edition thread, was told it’s not a skin issue (thanks dlanor). Suggested I make a request with you guys. Thanks for all the work, Open PHT definitely a step up from PMP.totally 2nd this. I liked not having pre-play in tv but find it useful in movies. I guess it depends on your preferred layout for each. This is very much a 1st world problem and not a complaint and will continue on happily either way. Love OPHT.
I agree - now this has changed, it means you require 3 presses to play a tv episode. Not a big deal, but enough for the wife to moan about it constantly! Perhaps we should raise this in a separate thread??
The option to disable the preplay screen based on content was originally a skin hack. I have now added this feature directly in OpenPHT, so it should work out of the box with every skin …

Is it known that with OpenPHT FLAC 5.1 is not outputting at 5.1 but in stereo only?
Using the official PHT work as expected.
Is there something I missed or it’s a known bug?
