Oh also I can’t seem to remote control OpenPHT with the Android app, is this a known issue?
Good the see there is a new update!
Is Dolby Digital Plus supported/working on Odroid C2? With 1.62 there is no sound now. < seems to work now!
Is the eMMC Module for Odroid C2 now supported?
A goofy little ui bug on the pi version
If you are into a menu of some kind and start playback from the ios app… the menu test is left on screen along the left edge overlaying the movie…

What skin are you using and what menu are you testing with? I’m unable to replicate it using the default Plex skin.
Mouse support needs to be turned on to see the bug described by @dragonmel above.
With mouse support turned, if you open the submenu in the homewindow (using mouse, remote or keyboard) then with the submenu still open, go to a preplay screen on a Plex mobile app, the submenu for the homewindow will stay on the screen and be overtop of the preplay screen.
A change made to the default skin is the cause (and I used the same technique in Nox, so while I haven’t checked yet [did check for the default skin] I’m sure it’s there too).
Easy to fix fortunately, I’ll make sure it’s in the default skin for 1.7.1
Sorry guys… got the inlaws in today for the holiday and a pretty poor post on my part… magnum hit it…
On osx, macbook, using mouse, keyboard… if I have the support menu… dont know about the main menus… plex default skin… as described…
Goffly little bug… probably would never really come up in actual use but while testing was using both local controls and the ios controller at the same time
Yeah, makes total sense. I’ve given the fix to @kwiboo so it’ll be in 1.7.1.
sorry for my stupidity but i didn’t see a download link ? or shall we wait for 1.71?

Wait for 1.7.1 - apparently 1.7.0 crashes a lot.
I would be extremely grateful if a .tar file of the embedded version could be made available. You’ve provided me with these in the past [forums.plex.tv/discussion/216102/dual-boot-with-chrome-os-and-openpht-on-hp-chromebox#latest]) , and this way is the only way I have to be able to upgrade.
I greatly appreciate it!

Which version did you end up using? The generic or the Nvidia legacy?
I have two RPI 3 that I cast to, after updating from 1.6.2 to 1.7.0 both my devices display the same default name of RASPLEX, even though the name has been updated/changed on one of the devices. Have tried deleting the device from my list of devices, and registering again, but still shows up with the default name. I can SSH onto each individual device or ping its respective DNS name, it just doesn’t show correctly using Plex Media Player or Web app.
Edit: Forgot I needed to also change the device name under: Preferences >System > Services > Device name
Greeeeeaaaat!
Does this release works for KORE (3rd party app control KODI in openPHT??)

Yes, the remote and player info should work but you won’t be able to “sync” your media library because OpenPHT is using PMS and not KODI’s library as a backend.
You could also take a look at “yatse” (if you are using android) which will give you some additional features like remote widgets, send android notifications to OpenPHT and pause on call.
thxs again.
im gonna try Yatse in short.
YES!
Now my Iphone app works as a remote again!
Great work guys!!

The name has to be set in two places. Make sure it’s correct in both.
System Settings > System > Identification > System Name
-and-
Preferences > System (gear) > Services > Device name
I’ve upgraded my RasPlex and my Windows OpenPHT to 1.7.1. I’ve noticed the Preferences>System>Plex menu now only has 4 options when before it had a whole bunch of options and I can’t find the new preference category mentioned in the new features listing. Am I missing something?

There is now a new category for these settings: Preferences → Appearance → General (below skin settings)
